Daisy Leung joined Astex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in July 2022 as the Vice President of Portfolio and Program Management.  She brings to Astex over 25 years of drug development and strategic leadership experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.  Before joining the company, she was the Vice President of Product Strategy and Development at Graphite Bio where she spearheaded the portfolio strategy and helped advance their first gene therapy program into the clinic. Prior to Graphite Bio, Daisy spent a decade at Genentech and Gilead where she held various leadership roles in portfolio and program management from pre-IND through post approval in a number of therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, virology, neuroscience, inflammatory and infectious diseases.  Earlier in her career, Daisy had held scientific positions at several drug delivery biotech companies.  Daisy holds a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Golden Gate University.
