Structure based drug design relies on the knowledge of which parts of a protein have an impact on function, interaction or post-translational modification. The rapid advancements in CRISPR base editing technologies now allow us to interrogate the importance of almost every amino acid of interacting proteins along entire signalling pathways. The goal of my project is to build tools that will integrate large base editing datasets generated by our collaborators at the Wellcome Sanger institute with protein structure and several other sources of information. Integrated analysis of all these properties will be the key to identify new druggable targets and protein domains.
